Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LearnWorks Education Advisory Sdn. Bhd. ("LearnWorks", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through learnworks.pro and through our advisory services. We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia ("PDPA").

1. What we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us. When you send an enquiry, that means your name, email address, an optional mobile number, the pathway you are exploring and the content of your message. If you become an advisory client, we additionally collect academic records, identification details and financial information strictly to the extent needed to prepare applications, scholarship files and visa documents on your behalf.

Our website also records limited technical data — browser type, approximate region and pages visited — through cookies described in our Cookie Policy.

2. Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide advisory services you request;
• To prepare and submit applications to institutions, scholarship providers and immigration authorities, always with your knowledge;
• To keep records required of us as a registered Malaysian business;
• To improve the usefulness of our website and guides.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing messages without your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to [email protected].

3. Who we share it with

Data is shared only where the service requires it: with the universities, colleges and scholarship bodies you ask us to approach; with visa and immigration authorities where you engage us for overseas placement; and with IT providers who host our systems under confidentiality obligations. Some recipients are located outside Malaysia — where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data receives protection materially equivalent to the PDPA.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiry records that do not become client engagements are deleted within twenty-four months. Client files are retained for seven years after the engagement closes, reflecting statutory record-keeping obligations, and are then securely destroyed.

5. Security

We restrict file access to advisors assigned to your case, encrypt data in transit, and require confidentiality undertakings from every member of staff. No internet transmission is perfectly secure, but we treat your academic and identity documents with the care we would demand for our own.

6. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to further processing. Requests should be sent to [email protected] or posted to our registered office; we respond within twenty-one days.

7. Children and students under 18

Many of our students are under eighteen. Where that is the case we involve a parent or guardian in the engagement and rely on their consent for the processing described above.

9. Changes

We revise this policy when our practices or the law change, and the date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes are highlighted on this page for thirty days.
