Our Story

Built by people who used to read your applications

LearnWorks started in a Petaling Jaya coffee shop in 2019, when two admissions officers decided students deserved the briefing that universities give their own recruiters.

The LearnWorks advisory team collaborating in their Petaling Jaya office

From two desks to twelve thousand students

Our founders spent a decade inside university admissions offices. They saw the same story every intake: capable students choosing courses from half-information, missing scholarships they qualified for, and paying agents for advice that served the agent.

So they flipped the model. LearnWorks advisors are salaried, not commission-ranked. Every recommendation is written down with its reasoning. And the service stays free for students because universities already budget to recruit — we simply make that budget work for you instead of for billboards.

Today a team of eighteen advisors, counsellors and visa specialists guides more than 2,500 students a year from our Petaling Jaya office and online across Malaysia.

What we stand on

Four promises we make every family

Reasoning in writing

Every shortlist arrives with the "why" attached — entry data, fee sources and trade-offs — so you can challenge us on any line.

No pay-to-rank

No institution can buy a higher place on your shortlist. Partners are listed by fit for you, and we will recommend a non-partner when it is honestly the better choice.

Parents in the room

Education is a family investment in Malaysia. We brief parents properly, in plain language, at every decision point.

We stay after enrolment

Advisors check in during your first semester. If the course is wrong, we help you fix it — that is the job, finished properly.
